Former NFL Star Praises God After Terrible Drowning Incident

Peyton Hillis, a former NFL running back, recently had a near-death experience while rescuing his two children from drowning. Hillis was taken to the hospital in critical condition after the incident, and is now thanking God for his miraculous recovery.

In a statement released this week, Hillis expressed his gratitude for the people’s prayers, as well as his family and the medical staff at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. He said that everyone’s love and support “made all the difference” in his recovery.

“I also want to thank my brave sister, mother, sister-in-law, my kids, and my girlfriend who has saved my life in more ways than one,” he said. “Thank you to the amazing staff at the hospital, Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. Y’all were truly amazing and took such great care of me. You made all the difference on my recovery.”

Hillis continued, “But I did want to come on here and show my appreciation for everyone who helped save my life and for all of your prayers and love and support. I left the hospital with no worries and concerns and should make a 100{ebf98c50faa4a08afd5b00883c72cd006e0bef7a0cc80901b841867d94616050} recovery. I’m a very lucky and blessed man. Yahweh has really blessed me and I am very thankful.”

The story of Hillis’ heroic rescue has inspired many, including those at Shiloh Christian School in Springdale, Arkansas. Hillis volunteers as an assistant coach for the youth football team his son Orry plays on. Families from the school came together to pray for Hillis’ recovery, praising him for his selfless act of sacrificing his life for his children.

Kelsey Eursery, whose son plays with Orry, said it was “not a surprise” to hear that Hillis risked his life to save his children. She expressed her wish for his full recovery, saying “we know that when one of us hurts all of us hurt.”

It is truly inspiring to see how Hillis’ story has impacted so many people. His courage and selflessness are an example to us all. We should continue to pray for Hillis’ healing, and thank God for His protection and grace.

Tears All Around, Prolific Wrestling Superstar Gives His Life To Christ – WATCH

Mark Calaway, better known to millions of wrestling fans around the world as The Undertaker, recently delivered an emotional and inspiring speech at the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Calaway, who has been a part of the WWE for 30 years, addressed thousands of screaming fans in Dallas’ American Airlines Center. He thanked his parents, fellow wrestlers and WWE management, while imparting three “mental signature moves” he lives by—perception is reality, respect and loyalty go a long way, and to never be content.

The most powerful moment of the night however, came when Calaway spoke about his family and the impact his wife had on his relationship with Jesus. The father of four spoke about his 9-year-old daughter Kaia Faith, who was in attendance, and told her that she was “perfect just the way you are.”

Calaway went on to thank his wife, Michelle McCool, for restoring his relationship with Jesus and for being his rock. McCool, who is also a former WWE wrestler, initially wanted nothing to do with The Undertaker. But after a long, exhausting chase, she finally said yes and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Undertaker’s inspirational speech was further amplified in an interview with the Fellowship Church’s founder and senior pastor, Ed Young, during 2019’s C3 Christian Conference. Growing up Catholic, Calaway explained to Young that he believed in God, but didn’t necessarily lead his life that way. It was after accepting his wife’s plea to attend church that Calaway began his journey back to Jesus and he is forever thankful to her for it.

The Undertaker’s story of redemption is one that many of us can relate to. He has gone through life’s ups and downs, but has come out the other side a better, more understanding person. His speech and his journey is a reminder to all of us that we should never be afraid to take a chance and reach out for help when we need it.

‘Jesus Revolution’ Leaves Hollywood Stunned

The new faith-based film Jesus Revolution opened big this past weekend, finishing at number 3 at the box office and bringing in an estimated $15.5 million – more than double the original estimate. The movie tells the true story behind the Jesus Movement of the 1970s, including how Pastor Chuck Smith welcomed hippies looking for truth at his church and sparked one of the greatest spiritual awakenings in American history.

Despite mixed critical reviews, the film has earned a remarkable 99{ebf98c50faa4a08afd5b00883c72cd006e0bef7a0cc80901b841867d94616050} audience rating on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes and a rare A+ CinemaScore from opening day audiences. The movie is based on Pastor Greg Laurie’s book, Jesus Revolution, which details the national spiritual awakening of the early 1970s in Southern California. Laurie himself was saved during the Jesus Movement and later started Harvest Christian Fellowship, now one of the largest churches in the country.

The film’s cast includes Kelsey Grammer as Chuck Smith and Jonathan Roumie as Lonnie Frisbee, as well as Joel Courtney, Anna Grace Barlow, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. Jesus Revolution is a Kingdom Story film in collaboration with Lionsgate, directed by Jon Erwin of I Can Only Imagine and American Underdog.

The Jesus Movement began on the West Coast and spread across the country in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It was a time of searching and seeking for many young people, and the revival that unfolded saw many of them turning to Christ. Time Magazine even gave the movement a cover story, asking “Is God Dead?” and later declaring it “The Jesus Revolution.”

Jon Erwin, half of the filmmaking duo The Erwin Brothers, was inspired by the Time Magazine covers to make this movie. He told CBN News, “I wanted to meet people that lived it.” He met Pastor Greg Laurie, who, along with his wife Cathe, were featured in the movie. Both of them shared their stories of being part of the Jesus Movement and how it changed their lives. “It was life-changing. It was overnight. It was darkness to light,” Cathe said.

The cast also included Joel Courtney as Greg Laurie and Anna Grace Barlow as Cathe Laurie. Both talked about what gave birth to the revival story they’re now helping to tell on the silver screen. Courtney said, “The culture was in a moment of fraught need…The need, the desire to reground yourself. And there is no grounding that’s better than the cornerstone of Christ.” Barlow added, “I can’t stop thinking about Damar Hamlin going down on the field a few weeks ago. And the gut reaction was to take a knee and pray. And to pray on national television. I haven’t seen anything like this in years.”

The filmmakers also experienced some miracles while making the movie. Producer Kevin Downes said, “There’s moments of miracles whenever you make a film. Obviously, the entire process. But this one had miracle after miracle, where we really felt and sensed God’s presence throughout the entire process.” One of the biggest miracles was veteran actor Kelsey Grammer signing on for the lead role of Calvary Chapel Pastor Chuck Smith.

Jesus Revolution is a powerful movie about faith, love, and redemption that has resonated with audiences. It’s a reminder of the power of God’s love and how it can transform lives.

New Study Reveals Startling Bias Against Christians in Scientific Fields

In a groundbreaking new study, researchers have found that nonreligious individuals tend to possess a bias against Christians who work in scientific fields. The study, which was published in “Public Understanding of Science,” revealed that nonreligious people view Christians in scientific fields as less competent due to perceived incompatibility between scientific theory and the Christian faith.

The study, which involved 365 participants, 151 of whom identified as Christian and 214 who identified as nonreligious, showed that nonreligious individuals tend to believe that science and Christianity are fundamentally incompatible. This bias has been shown to exist on numerous occasions throughout the years, with suspicion of nonreligious scientists being a constant presence in evangelical circles and vice versa.

As the study’s author, Cameron Mackey, a doctoral candidate at Ohio University, pointed out, “There’s a belief in many Western societies that science and religion are in conflict. For example, many prominent atheists such as Steven Pinker and Sam Harris opposed Francis Collins as the head of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) because he was an Evangelical Christian.”

The debate over evolution and the mechanism by which life sprang forth on earth has been a splinter point between Christians and the scientific world since the publication of Charles Darwin’s “On the Origin of Species” in 1859. This schism has pushed certain segments of the evangelical movement toward anti-intellectualism, which has become part and parcel of the tradition itself.

The study showed that when participants were given reason to believe that Christianity and science could reasonably coexist, they rated Christians as more competent and intelligent. This suggests that if nonreligious individuals are reminded of how Christianity and science can potentially coexist, their perception of Christians in science can become more positive.

This is an important step in increasing Christian representation in science and in increasing trust between religious and nonreligious individuals in scientific domains. As Mackey said, “Making perceptions of Christians in science more positive is crucial for increasing Christian representation in science and increasing trust between religious and nonreligious individuals in scientific domains.”

Woke Activists Use Court To Persecute Cake Shop…AGAIN!

Colorado baker Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakeshop is under attack from activists again. This time Phillips was sued when he refused to bake a cake celebrating a gender transition for Autumn Scardina, a transgender woman.

The court ruled that Phillips was in violation of the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act for his refusal to bake the cake. The design for the cake was to have pink and blue frosting, the colors of the transgender flag, to celebrate Scardina’s gender transition.

The appeals court contended that Phillips was not being forced to present a message that contradicted his faith because the cake “expressed no message” and that “not all conduct constitutes speech.”

The ruling was met with criticism from the Alliance Defending Freedom, a conservative Christian legal advocacy group, who called the ruling “cruelty” and plans to appeal the decision.

This case is the latest in many legal battles between LGBT activists and Phillips. In 2018, Phillips won a U.S. Supreme Court case for refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple in 2012 when same-sex marriage was still not legal in Colorado.

Phillips has had to deal with activists since 2012 when  David Mullins and Charlie Craig sued him for not baking their cake.

From NBC News:

The decision was a victory for Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakeshop in Denver, who has said that his cakes are works of art and that requiring him to bake them for same-sex weddings would force him to express a view that violated his religious beliefs. He runs his business guided by religious principles, closing on Sunday and refusing to make cakes containing alcohol or celebrating Halloween.

The 7-2 decision, the court said legal proceedings in Colorado had shown a hostility to the baker’s religious views. Monday’s ruling was written by Justice Anthony Kennedy, who also wrote the Supreme Court’s same-sex marriage decision.

Obviously upset they lost left wing activist has decided to take another swing at the baker.

Police Officer Forced to Resign Over His Religious Views

A 19-year-old police officer in Georgia resigned last week after his superiors attempted to suppress him from sharing his religious beliefs on social media.

Jacob Kersey, 19, gave up his position with the Port Wentworth Police Department after weeks of being attacked over a tweet in which he shared his religious views on marriage.

Kersey posted a message to his Facebook page on Jan. 2 that said, “God designed marriage. Marriage refers to Christ and the church. That’s why there is no such thing as homosexual marriage.”

After receiving a complaint, Kersey was contacted by his superior, who told him to remove the post or face the possibility of being fired. Another superior, Lt. Justin Hardy, then contacted Kersey and informed him that the department wanted to avoid being held liable in a “use of force” incident with someone identifying as an LGBT individual.

Kersey was then called to a meeting with police Chief Matt Libby, who told him that what he said was akin to “saying the N-word and ‘F*** all those homosexuals.’”

Kersey was told he had free speech, but it “was limited due to my position as … a police officer,” he said.

After spending a week on paid administrative leave, Kersey was told he would not be fired but could no longer share “offensive” opinions on his social media. This meant he could not share his “interpretation or opinion on Scripture if it was deemed offensive,” according to Kersey.

Days later, Kersey decided to resign, citing that he “just didn’t think it wise to go back and play their game” and didn’t feel as if his command really had his back.

Kersey’s story is yet another example of how religious beliefs are increasingly being suppressed in our society. Despite the fact that the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right to freely express religious beliefs, Kersey was told to remain silent due to his position as a police officer.

It’s clear that many in today’s society are determined to silence anyone who speaks openly about their faith. We must fight for the right to freedom of expression and ensure that everyone’s beliefs are respected and protected.
